My father in law and I built the sandbox and water station last week. We made some modifications to your plans to reduce cost: size 8x8, no reel for the cover, 1x6 cedar tongue and groove, etc. The Bill of Materials document was amazing!!!! Could you give me a ballpark figure for the cost of materials?  - Materials will run you around $1400

What is the best type of play sand? I want my kids to be able to build sand castles. - Tell your gravel yard that your looking for unwashed, fine grained sand for your sandbox. That is the best type of sand for building sandcastles.

Also, do you have other designs besides the Sahara?  - We are currently prototyping two future versions to be released this year.

Can the sandbox plans be modified to make it smaller?  - I am currently working on new sandbox models and variations of the Sahara but as of now I don't have another model completed.
